Scripture passages in Commontide are served through the ESV® API, under the free tier. Passages are cached locally in accordance with the ESV API terms of service: no more than 500 verses of ESV text are retained in the local cache at any time (enforced nightly), and total outbound queries respect the per-day, per-hour, and per-minute limits set by Crossway.

For commercial or redistributive ESV use not covered by the API terms, contact Crossway.

The Book of Common Prayer 2019

The text of the Book of Common Prayer 2019 (except for the New Coverdale Psalter, above) is not under copyright. Non-profit reproduction by churches and non-profit organizations is permitted, and churches are explicitly encouraged to incorporate liturgical selections into bulletins and worship materials.

Exclusive print rights have been granted to Anglican Liturgy Press, an imprint of Anglican House Media Ministry, Inc. Any for-profit publication of BCP 2019 texts requires permission from Anglican House Media Ministry.

Hymn references come from St. Bernard’s Breviary Hymnal and from Sing to the Lord (SUTL). Displayed hymn metadata (titles, tunes, numbering) is used for worship planning and reference only; hymn texts are not redistributed beyond what is permitted for worship use by their respective publishers.
